Europe on Rail acts
only as booking agent and has no control over, nor responsibility
for, the passes, carriers and other travel accommodations
listed. All bookings are accepted and all tickets, passes,
and vouchers are issued on the express condition that Europe
on Rail is not responsible nor liable for: any loss (consequential
or otherwise); damage (including but not limited, loss of,
damage to, passengers' clothes, baggage, property, whatsoever);
death, injury, delay, inconvenience or irregularity cause
by, or arising from, or in connection with, any defect in
any vehicle or other land or sea conveyance used, rented,
or traveled in; or through the negligence, willful misconduct,
strikes, or other acts, defaults, or omissions of any carrier,
car rental company, hotel, restaurant, or other provider of
goods or services.
Every booking accepted
is subject to the conditions, tariffs and regulations imposed
by the rail, shipping, bus, car rental, car insurance, or
other companies, firms or persons concerned. Travel insurance
is recommended. Travelers are responsible for ensuring that
they have all necessary travel documents and visas.
All products featured
at this site must be purchased in North America. All prices
indicated are effective January 1, 2007 and are subject to
change without notice.
Eurail passes may
not be issued to residents of Europe, the Commonwealth of
Independent States, Turkey, Morocco, Algeria, or Tunisia.
Seat reservations,
sleepers and couchettes, travel on certain high-speed trains,
luggage checking, port taxes, meals, beverages, or refreshments,
are all subject to additional charges, which are not included
in the price of the rail passes,and which must be paid separately.
Passes are strictly
non-refundable if validated and are only valid for those named. Use by
other than those named will invalidate the pass and will result
in a heavy fine in local currency. It is compulsory to present
passports to European rail officials upon request.
GENERAL POLICIES:
Europe on Rail,
Inc. accepts credit card payments through Visa,
MasterCard & American Express, Discover and Diners Club.
All cards will be charged by us
or our pass suppliers directly.
REFUNDS:
Lost or stolen Rail passes are neither refundable nor replaceable
unless you have purchased Pass Protection Plan to cover all
the passes.
Upon
discovery of your loss or theft, follow these simple instructions:
- Report loss/theft to the police
in Europe within 24 hours.
- Within thirty (30) days of
returning home, send a notarized written report with your
official police report and your replacement ticket receipt
to Europe on Rail, Inc. for reimburse on your unused portion
of your pass.
Unused rail passes
are refundable within one (1) year from issue date (or six
(6) months from issue date where so stated) provided they
have not been validated, have been canceled and so stamped
at a rail station in Europe prior to the beginning of the
validation period. All refunds are subject to a 25% cancellation
charge. Unused vouchers of combination packages (those combining
rail with other travel programs such as car or hotel) are
not refundable if any of the services of the entire combination
package have been wholly or partially used. Prices are subject
to change without prior notice.
Description
of Coverage:
The provider of
this program will, by payment, reimburse the pass holder (s)
named on the rail passes for theft or accidental loss, subject
to exclusion conditions and limitation are contained below.
Loss:
"Loss"
means the theft or accidental loss of the rail pass
Effective
Period:
"Effective
period" means the period from 12:01 am on the date of
issue of the pass to 11:59pm on the last day the rail pass
is valid. the program only applies to loss sustained during
the effective period.
Exclusions:
This program does
not apply to any loss caused by:
- Delay or detained or confiscation
by customs
- Rail pass not in your actual
possession at the time of loss
- War, invasion, act of foreign
enemy, hostilities, civil war, rebellion revolution, insurrection
or military or usurped power.
- Any dishonest, fraudulent
or criminal act by the pass holder
- Damage due to wear and tear,
gradual deterioration
